What is a PDO Thread Lift?

A  PDO thread lift is a procedure that subtly lifts your facial features to reduce the signs of aging. Mint PDO is a safe, effective, biocompatible, and dissolvable suture composed of “polydioxanone,” a complex sugar often used in orthopedic and cardiovascular surgeries to suture wounds and incisions.

Candidates may be male or female between 30 and 50 years old. Mint PDO thread lifts are most effective when treating moderate signs of aging, such as jowls, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and neck.
However, the mint PDO thread lift is also suitable for younger patients in their 20s who want an even tighter facial appearance with a chiseled jawline, or those who want to treat droopy eyelids.

 

What happens during a Mint PDO Thread Lift procedure?

During your initial consultation, our expert aestheticians examine your skin quality and discuss your cosmetic goals to curate the ideal treatment plan. We create a treatment map on your face, marking the targeted entry points for the PDO threads. The PDO threads suspend your skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Finally, the needles are removed, and the excess threads are snapped off. The procedure may last between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the treatment plan, and the results are immediately evident.

How soon do you recover from a Mint PDO Thread Lift?

Mint PDO thread lifts are minimally-invasive procedures with no downtime. You can resume work and most daily activities immediately the next day. You may experience some inflammation, discomfort, swelling, and bruising around the treatment sites for up to one week. However, the side effects are mild, and they recede within a week.
